A Different Kind of Ted Talk
Client
Situation
In a rapidly evolving organisational context, effective communication plays a critical role in how the division is perceived internally.
While the team is recognised for its expertise and reliability, leaders and team members alike identified the need to strengthen their ability to communicate in a way that builds trust, increases influence and visibility, and connects effectively with diverse internal stakeholders.
Solution
A 1.5-day interactive workshop, complemented by an optional online Insights Discovery introduction.
The workshop combined:
- Enhanced “TED Talks” to practice impactful communication and storytelling
- Targeted theory input on effective communication and Insights Discovery
- Reflection on the current standing of the division and key success factors
- Recipient-oriented communication training using practical tools and feedback loops.Through plenary sessions, small-group exercises, and peer coaching, participants developed their skills in active listening, audience orientation, and adaptive communication styles. This blend of conceptual input, self-awareness, and experiential learning ensured practical transfer into daily work.
Impact
Participants strengthened their ability to communicate with clarity, impact, and empathy.
They developed practical skills to adapt their communication to different audiences and styles, enhancing trust and influence in their daily work.
By combining self-awareness (Insights Discovery), active listening, and storytelling techniques, they built a broader repertoire of strategies to engage stakeholders effectively.
This led to increased confidence in high-stakes conversations, more consistent and targeted communication, and a stronger collective standing of the team within the organisation.
